There's another program called Steermouse that I understand is also popular for this. I just used the excellent shareware program 'USB Overdrive' to customize button settings the way I like 'em. Oh well, like I said, it's still worth it, just for the mouse.I got this thing for about half-off the MSRP because it was refurbished. So I guess I can only use either the mouse OR the keyboard, not both together. When I remove the keyboard from the list of Bluetooth devices, the mouse performed perfectly. Then I figured out that the stuttering only happens when both the MX-1000 mouse and the MX-5000 keyboard are paired with my iMac. I have no idea if the dongle works for non-Bluetooth Macs I'll test it on my older Mac sometime though.Someone mentioned that the mouse "stutters." I noticed this too, at first, and I almost gave up on the whole thing because of it.
And I certainly didn't install any Logitech software. I didn't have this problem. Hopefully the bits that needed refurb-ing were in the kb, not in the mouse!Someone mentioned that they couldn't actually type with the keyboard. But I am so grateful for a MX-700 replacement.
